Culte ensemble, dimanche de la ‘fête de la musique’

Herzlich willkommen zum gemeinsamen Gottesdienst der englisch- und deutschsprachigen Gemeinde der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche Genf. Aus Anlass der Fete de la musique feiern auch wir heute einen musikalisch besonders gestalteten Gottesdienst. Besonders begrüßen wir den Chor der evangelischen Gemeinde Chéne, der unseren Chor verstärkt. Heute erklingt Haydn’s “Missa in Angustiis” – auch bekannt als Lord Nelson Messe.

Welcome to this shared worship service between the German-Speaking and English-Speaking Congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Geneva. In keeping with the Fête de la Musique, we are celebrating the gift of music this morning. A special word of welcome to the choir of the Protestant parish in Chêne, who are joining the choirs of the two Lutheran congregations in singing sections from Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis, also known as the “Lord Nelson Mass.”
